You can buy tests online to be sure, and if you get a positive result — consider installing a water softener in your home.

So you know what not to do, but how do you develop a daily skincare routine for sensitive skin that meets your needs?

- Go with gentle. Many skincare products contain l-ascorbic acid, a form of vitamin c that’s known for causing greater irritation and being prone to oxidation.
